We are a group of dedicated Holden enthusiasts who enjoy not only their cars, but spending time with like minded people.
We have a membership base primarily in the Hawkes Bay region with links to other Holden Clubs throughout New Zealand. Originally a branch of the Early Holden Club of Auckland, 1993 saw the opportunity for us to go our own way. Holden Club Hawkes Bay is currently one of the strongest Holden Clubs in New Zealand hosting many activities during the year for club members to participate in.
Every two years we hold a Show ‘n Shine weekend for Holden Club members, enthusiasts and the public to enjoy. The show has been running since the early nineties and is a well-established and enjoyable event, which attracts entrants from a number of Holden Clubs throughout the North Island.
Our club caters for all Holden vehicles from the 48-215 (FX) through to the latest that the General can offer. No matter what Holden you drive our club is a friendly, family oriented organisation that welcomes you.

History of holden club hawkes bay
Early records show that in early 1989, Tony Sculpher and Ron Williams discussed the formation of a Holden Club in Hawkes Bay. The Holden public were invited to a display of vehicles on 17 September 1989. Following this very well attended display, the first Holden Club in Hawkes Bay was formed as a branch of the Early Holden Club of Auckland and was known as the Early Holden Club of Hawkes Bay. Steady, strong growth in membership followed.
On 1 July 1993, the 'Holden Club of Hawkes Bay' was officially formed as a stand alone Holden club. The statement of intent read: "The Holden Club of Hawkes Bay is dedicated to the preservation of all Holdens from 1948 48/215 (FX) to the present day. Modified Holdens maybe acceptable. You do not have to own a Holden but must have a keen interest in Holden or associated literature". These values are still relevant today.

Club activities
Our main event is the bi-annual Show 'n Shine which is held over the Auckland Anniversary weekend. This has been a major feature of club activities since the early foundation days of the club, and attracts entrants from many Holden clubs in the North Island. Each show gains in strength with increasing public attendance and having to limit the number of entrants. Our first show was held in 1990.
Club members have entered the biennial New Zealand Holden Nationals since their inception in 1991 and have achieved very high success rates coming away with many awards for the high standard of vehicle presentation.
We also aim to have at least one activity per month for members ranging from cruises, grasskhanas, swap meet trips, motorsport events, interactions with other Holden Clubs, social golf, annual AGM, and Christmas functions.
